What We Do

Black Apron’s goal is to help provide assistance in preparing home cooked meals to community members who have trouble obtaining them otherwise. We allot clients with 4 hours of chef time per visit (including travel time) and will prep and cook a requested meal and clean up the kitchen after. Above the basic chef service we also want to provide a friendly face and culinary education to those that want it. Food, socialization and education are our three goals to help fill in the gaps of culinary assistance in the Tri-Cities.

When our chef comes into a place of residence, they can be someone to talk to for a personal connection, though they can keep to themselves if it is so desired. The chef can talk to them about what they are doing and how the food is being cooked. Our chef will cook them what they want and try and make sure they have some leftovers, providing food, company and knowledge.

Due to Health Department guidelines we can only provide the culinary services not food directly. We are working on finding gleaned food donations from local grocers and restaurants to help improve our capabilities. We can work with clients to pick up pre purchased groceries if they have trouble getting ingredients.
